ABOUT EMMA TURNER

DOWNLOAD MY CURRENT CV:
I grew up in the northern beach suburbs of Wollongong, where I completed high school at Smith's Hill Selective before moving to Sydney to study an undergraduate degree of Media (Communications & Journalism) at the University of New South Wales. I am partway into my second year at the moment.
My personal passion for all-things-NBL comes from my upbringing in basketball. I started playing at the age of eight and represented the junior Illawarra Hawks through my teenage years. Since then, I have avidly followed the league and made some valuable connections and relationships as a result.
I love to be creative and received a Band 6 in Visual Arts for my final high school studies before starting to make short videos of small events in my life for fun. Eventually, I learnt how to use Adobe Creative Cloud myself via online tutorials to help increase the quality of the work I was producing. Amidst my studies at UNSW, I began to produce all the content and copy writing material for my university basketball club, as well as actually managing their social media accounts. I currently still hold this role.
At the moment, I work for fun on passion projects (mostly to do with the National Basketball League) and am interning with Shane Heal, Steve Carfino & David Wolf (Closer Communications) on The Basketball Show, where I man the social media channels and help in studio. I'm always on the look-out for challenging new experiences and a chance to develop my skills!
